He depends on his other senses to identify people — anything from their gait to a specific type of fabric they favor. If you'd like me to include him noticing certain things of that nature please let me know. If you'd prefer not to at all, that's okay too! It can be literally anything someone might notice about your character if they weren't looking at them. So that's question one! Question two goes a bit deeper. Chirrut is Force sensitive. I'm going to spare the details here but if you're not familiar you can read about the Force here. In any case, he's not able to wield the Force like a Jedi can and his connection to it is described as tenuous, but he still uses it to get a clearer picture of what people are about. He can often sense a person's mood, if they're carrying a great deal of grief or fear with them, or even if they intend to kill someone. It's never going to be something as specific as like, "I can tell you're sad because your friend George died" or anything like that. More of a general "I can tell this person carries a heavy weight with them" sort of thing. This isn't going to be a big deal right now since he won't have a connection to the Force upon arrival but I wanted to go ahead and get it out of the way. If you'd rather opt out of that completely please let me know! What are some physical details about your character/s that Chirrut might notice? Once his connection to the Force is restored, are you okay with him picking up on some aspects of your character's emotions/general vibe? If it's something as major as "my character plans to murder another character and I want him to notice that", we can certainly plot that out. I'm never going to make any major assumptions about characters without confirming it with the player first.
